These Terms & Conditions apply to the optional installation and commissioning service offered by Sesame Portastile Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”). By selecting this service at checkout, you (“the Customer”) agree to the following:
- Scope of Service
- The installation service covers the, positioning, and basic commissioning of the purchased walkthrough metal detector (“the Arch”) at the Customer’s designated site.
- Installation includes assembly, power connection (to an existing suitable power supply), and initial calibration in line with manufacturer specifications.
- The service does not include electrical works, structural modifications, or integration with third-party security systems.
- Price & Payment
- The installation service is charged at £95.00 (Ex. VAT) per arch, payable in full at the time of purchase.
- Additional charges may apply if unforeseen site conditions prevent standard installation (e.g. restricted access, no suitable power supply). These will be communicated prior to proceeding.
- Customer Responsibilities
The Customer must:
- Ensure safe and reasonable access to the installation site on the agreed date.
- Provide a suitable environment for installation, including level, stable ground and a working power supply within 2 metres of the installation point.
- Notify us in advance of any site-specific requirements (e.g. security clearance, restricted working hours, health & safety protocols).
- Scheduling & Delays
- Installation will be scheduled at a mutually agreed date following order confirmation.
- If the Customer is unable to provide access on the agreed date, we reserve the right to charge a reattendance fee to cover the additional costs incurred (including travel, labour, and associated expenses).
- We are not liable for delays caused by factors outside our control, including site restrictions or Customer non-compliance.
- Warranty & Liability
- Our installation service ensures that the Arch is set up in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- We are not liable for subsequent faults arising from misuse or unauthorised modifications.
- Any manufacturer warranty remains subject to the original equipment terms.
- Cancellations
- The installation service may be cancelled up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled date for a full refund.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled installation date are non-refundable.
- Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
